TRANSFER BUYING ... let's talk about this!!!

What does that mean exactly?? It means that you are buying tons of cleaning and personal care products at your local grocery or drugstore, Target, Costco, or maybe even Amazon. Right??

Or maybe you like the more expensive high dollar laundry detergent that smells really nice. 🤷🏼‍♀️

GUYS... these chemicals are killing us. They are messing with our reproductive systems, our children's hormones, causing asthma, migraines, etc., and most of them are also CARCINOGENIC. Ummm, SCARY. This is not something to mess around with.

Did you know that Thieves Household Cleaner is actually MORE cost effective than the chemical laden junk at Walmart?? It IS! And guess what... BONUS...it won't harm you or your family!!

What makes Young Living diffusers different?!

Defect rates in a typical durable goods operation is about 2% in the field. Many cheap goods like those on Amazon have a higher percentage of defect rate. To improve on that standard, Young Living’s defect rate is 0.05%! This is unheard of in the industry! What to do with empty EO bottles?!

Don’t throw those empty bottles away! Here are some ways you can put them to good use:

💧 Turn into a spray with your favorite oils + water for:

— Room/linen spray (My fave is Purification + Lavender)

__ Nighttime pillow spray (Lavender + Cedarwood, tree oils like Northern Lights Black Spruce, or Dream Catcher)

— Perfume/cologne (Try blends like Joy, Sensation, White Angelica, Valor, etc. or Mister for guys)

— Stinky dog spray (Purification!)

💧 DIY roller bottles
Grab the AromaGlideRoller Fitments on your next YL order and fill your empty bottles with the oils you like to roll on frequently + V-6 carrier oil. Here are some ideas:

— ImmuPower diluted (4 drops of carrier oil per 1 drop of ImmuPower) to roll on feet every day for powerful immune support

— Allergy blend: Lavender + Lemon + Peppermint

— Rose roller 🌹 for a major mood boost. Just a few drops plus V-6 to fill. This is a great way to extend your rose oil!

— Focus roller: for a 5 ml bottle: 7 drops each of cedarwood, vetiver, and lavender and fill with carrier oil.

💧 Share oil samples with others!
Use your empty bottles to put some of your oils in for loving on others! Almost everyone needs DiGize for tummy discomfort and PanAway for pain!

You can also use your empty bottles to fill with Thieves Household Cleaner for giving to others! Include instructions to put that sample amount into a 16-24 ounce spray bottle and fill with water for cleaning everything!

💧 EO-infused bath salts!
Put your empty EO bottles without caps on them into a big container of epsom salts to infuse the salts with EO’s for an amazing therapeutic bath!

💧 Decorations and displays!
Add them to a shadow box, glass cookie jar, etc. for beautiful displays that start great conversations.

💧 If you do all these and are still overloaded with empty bottles, you can recycle them. Young Living has a recycling collection bin at their office in Utah!

For our #backtobasics , we’ve gotta cover a pretty weird topic that I wish I would have known when I first started.

Young Living essential oils can be emotionally detoxifying.

And this can cause some emotional “die-off” effects.

Just like they can detox us physically, these powerful oils work in the emotional region of the brain where memories are stored. Good and bad.

Stored negative emotions are now being recognized as one of the main causes of physical disease.

We don’t want those toxic negative emotional memories stuck in our brain and body.

When I first started my YL journey, I couldn’t stand the smell of Joy! It gave me a headache! So I avoided it for a long time! Little did I know that that precious bottle of oils was working to help me not be so uptight and anxious 😅

I’m gonna be a little blunt here too. 🙊 I’ve seen this happen often in new members who tend to struggle with being positive or loving (loving others and/or themselves) and also have a hard time with oils like Joy, Forgiveness, geranium, lavender, etc. Emotional breakdowns, headaches, moodiness, etc. Yeah it’s pretty crazy... It’s an emotional detoxification process going on!

Dr. Jim Bob shared his story of how being abandoned as a child was the root cause of his aversion to lavender at first.

We all have some things from our childhood that leaves us with emotional storage that may not be serving us. It’s an amazing gift to have these oils to not only help detox that but also to keep our children’s and grandchildren’s emotional library as clean as possible.

For our #backtobasics , let’s talk about internal use of EO’s.

There are a lot of things out there saying that ingesting EO’s is dangerous and/or harmful.

The truth is: It is when you’re using other companies’ EO’s! Who knows what’s in them!

But when it comes to Young Living oils, you may have noticed they have a Vitality line of oils labeled per FDA regulations as Dietary Supplements.

There are many essential oils on the FDA’s GRAS (Generally Regarded as Safe) list. These are used in foods/drinks you’re likely consuming every single day!

For example, peppermint extract is just peppermint EO + alcohol! Anything with natural peppermint flavor is peppermint EO!

But the biggest source of EO’s in the American diet is in soda. Soda manufacturers are the largest purchasers of citrus oils! Yeah that natural citrus flavor is EO’s!

You’ll also see a lot of oils like nutmeg and rosemary as food flavor ingredients nowadays.

But we know that not everything they put in food nowadays is good for us 🤨 so what are the health effects of using EO’s internally?

According to research, pure unadulterated therapeutic essential oils can help do the following:

💚 Help heal the intestinal wall (aka leaky gut) and improve the integrity of the intestinal wall

💚 Heal the liver from damage caused by OTC medications like Tylenol

💚 Reverse aging on the liver

💚 Support beneficial microbes while eliminating pathogenic ones

💚 Provide significant improvement in fatty liver and protect against cardiovascular diseases

What about the stories of kids dying for ingesting oils?

I’ve reviewed all those cases. In every case, it took at least 30 ml’s (two full big bottles!) to pose significant immediate risks and those were oils of unknown quality/purity.

Who’s getting lots of good health benefits from using YL oils internally?! 🙋🏻‍♀️

#backtobasics Did you know? The dilution ratio, diffusing time, and photosensitivity info is right on the label of each oil!

These are a good starting point for newbies.

For babies and children, dilute more. If it’s 1:4 like this one is, consider doubling it (or more if you’d like) for use on children.

If an oil contains any citrus oils, it will have a photosensitivity warning on it. It is not recommended to use those oils in DIY things that will be used on the face when there will be sun exposure.

Photosensitivity just means that the larger molecules of these cold-pressed citrus oils can stay on top of the skin and interact with the sun’s rays, potentially causing a rash similar to what bartenders in tropical places get when they squeeze limes often out in the sun.

Diffusing times are just a starting point. Find what works for you, your room space, and the type of diffuser that you have.

Due to the incredible purity of YL oils, there’s a lot of room for experimentation! So start there and adjust how you want!
