Nobody wants their skin to look like a toad's. There are many topical things that people use to eliminate warts. And while many of those work, they don't address the internal root cause that might be causing warts. Left unaddressed, that root cause is or will be contributing to other health issues. And it's really rather simple.
A 2010 research study found the following:
An earlier study in 2002 conducted a placebo-controlled clinical trial giving patients with viral warts that were resistant to all treatments zinc supplementation. They concluded the following:
There are other studies showing the same connection between zinc and warts. Zinc has many important functions for the body including for immune health and even for gut health. Zinc helps keep the intestinal wall strong so it's an important part of any gut-healing regimen as well.
Some of the most common signs of zinc deficiency include:
- Frequent colds/sickness
- Leaky gut
- Failure to thrive and slow-growth in children
- Spots on fingernails
- Lack of appetite
So how do we get zinc?
Foods high in zinc are fabulous, but in the presence of warts and other symptoms of zinc deficiency, zinc supplementation is necessary.
Like other minerals, there are many forms of zinc out there but not many that are bioavailable.
HFFG's Zinc Monomethionine is a bioavailable, charge transfer complex of zinc with the amino acid methionine. To use for children, just open a capsule and put some of the powder into a child's food or drink like applesauce, smoothies, etc.
This form of zinc is tolerated better than other forms of zinc supplements which can sometimes cause nausea or vomiting. If nausea or vomiting is experienced when taking a zinc supplement, this is a sign of low stomach acid which is the cause of many health issues. Stomach acid levels can be optimized with consumption of fermented foods/drinks as well as a good digestive enzyme. (Click here for my full recommended supplements list.)
A liquid zinc like Eidon Liquid Zinc is also great for children especially.
So there you have it! Easy peasy. Nourish yourself from the inside out.
